Mandinga will represent Romania at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song Zaleilah.

Participation at ESC is the most important moment in the history of Mandinga, members of the Romanian group Elena (lead singer), Alex (trumpet) and Chupi (drums), who will represent Romania at Eurovision Song Contest in the Final in Baku. The winner was determined through a combined jury and televoting (50/50). The East European debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Mandinga will perform in the first semi final of Eurovision Song Contest aiming to qualify for the grand final to be held on 26.05.2012. The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Baku Crystal Hall, which is under construction near the area of the State Flag. The Eurovision 2012 semi-final rounds will be held in Baku on 22.05.2012 and 24.05.2012 and the final on 26.05.2012.

Filming took place at different splendid locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in a arabic desert, on a yacht and even in Burj Khalifa a skyscraper in Dubai, the highest hotel in the world. The video has an interesting story, in which the leading singer, finds a mysterious ring in a latin- club and then imagines she is a princess going through to Dubai in search of love.

Eurovision 2012 Romania Song Winner HD
Romania made its decision for Baku Azerbaijan and Mandinga will have the honour to represent the east european country and achieve a good result in May.

Mandinga is an Romanian pop band from Bucharest. The original soloist of the band was Elena Gheorghe who left in 2005. Since 2006, the new lead vocalist is Elena Ionescu. The group will represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Zaleilah", after winning the Romanian national final.
