Dacia Duster to Enter UK Market

  Dacia romanians low-cost brand is scheduled to enter the British and Irish market in the middle of the year, was included by Top Gear magazine in a list of ten models that it is looking forward to this year. Based on the same platform that Logan saloon, the Duster is a compact crossover. Duster won a important trophy. After elected by Autobest the 2010 Car of the Year in Romania and won the Argus Trophy in France, the Duster 4x4 won the 4×4 Car of the Year awarded by the 4×4 Magazine, the most important auto magazine in France. The level of standard safety features reveals of Duster has done well in the two tests, since it managed to get three stars with just two airbags and ABS as standard, plus the two side airbags on the Laureate equipment level (like the one used for the Euro NCAP tests). The Romanian brand is more respectful of the environment thanks to its low CO2 emissions. The petrol engine 1.6 16V will have a 1.6-liter engine developing 105hp at 5,750rpm and 148Nm of torque at 3,750rpm. The petrol engine has a 37.7mpg fuel consumption in 4x2 version and 35.3mpg as a 4x4. The diesel range in UK comes with either a dCi 85 engine or a dCi 110 engine. The dCi 110 engine outputs 109hp at 4,000rpm and 240Nm of torque at 1,750rpm. It has a 50.4mpg fuel consumption and a 139g/km CO2 emissions level. The dCi 110 can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 11.8 seconds. The compact SUV model will sell from around £10,800 based on a 1.10 exchangerate. Dacia is preparing to enter in the British market. If Dacia Logan was not considered the proper car for the UK market , The Sandero is expected to have a lot of enthusiasts in England, Scotland and Wales. Dacia has not decided what engine will motorize the Sandero for the Great Britain market, but it seams that it will be the diesel engine because of it’s low pollution rate.
